Our founders have over seventy years of combined experience in the steel industry. In addition to our company history and experience, our Camden, New Jersey site, part of the South Jersey Port Corporation and situated along the Delaware River, boasts over a century of history as a major gateway of commerce and trade. The building we currently occupy in the port is the site of the former New York Ship Building company where countless vessels were constructed that served and defended our nation valiantly during times of global conflict, including the famed aircraft carrier, the USS Kitty Hawk.

Michael Amato, Sr, Co-Founder & CEO
In 2001, steel industry veteran Michael Amato saw a need for a new flat rolled steel processor dedicated to exceptional customer service and decided to start Camden Yards Steel with co-founder Alan Kanoff. Fast forward to today, and Camden Yards Steel has two plants serving the entire eastern seaboard from Maine to Florida and west to the Mississippi.
Michael is a Philadelphia native with over 40 plus years of experience in the carbon flat rolled steel processing and distribution business. He serves as Chief Executive Officer of Camden Yards Steel.
Alan Kanoff, Co-Founder & President
In 2001, steel industry veteran Alan Kanoff saw a need for a new flat rolled steel processor dedicated to exceptional customer service and decided to start Camden Yards Steel with co-founder Michael Amato. Fast forward to today, and Camden Yards Steel has two plants serving the entire eastern seaboard from Maine to Florida and west to the Mississippi.
Alan is a Philadelphia native with over 35 plus years of experience in the carbon flat rolled steel processing and distribution business. He serves as President of Camden Yards Steel.
