Camden, NJ – Camden Yards Steel has announced the purchase of a Red Bud Industries stretcher leveler and a Red Bud Industries precision multi-blanking line. Both machines will be installed in Camden Yards Steel’s northern plant at 2500 Broadway Camden, NJ and will be operational by the end of 2018. Both new machines allow the company to supply an even greater array of flat rolled steel product lines.
The stretcher leveler will serve as an add on to Camden Yards Steel’s ½” x 96” Herr-Voss leveling line and will allow CYS to produce laser quality steel sheet and plate up to ½” x 96” wide x custom length at 100,000 yield. In addition, this machine has a vacuum brush system on top and bottom and a 60,000# 40’ stacker with scissor lift tables. Stretcher leveled products will include hot rolled, pickled and oiled, diamond plate, and HSLA steel sheet and plate.
Camden Yards Steel is also making an aggressive push into the steel blanks market. The addition of the precision multi-blanking line allows Camden Yards Steel to blank products up to and including 1/8” (.125) x 72” at 50,000 yield.
