Location. Location. Location.

Camden Yards Steel Company takes great pride in its location along the Delaware River waterfront and contributes much of its success to this highly visible and accessible locale.

The bustling Broadway Terminal of the South Jersey Port Corporation is where Camden Yards Steel proudly resides. This port has been a major gateway to the rest of the nation for hundreds of years. Today, access to the Delaware River enables Camden Yards Steel to utilize both foreign and domestic sources in the procurement of steel via ocean-going vessels and barges.

The Broadway Terminal is also a vivacious industrial park with over 25 maritime business-related tenants making Camden their home. Trucking companies, stevedores, tug companies, manufacturers, ship chandlers and a host of other business make the Port of Camden an efficient and successful place to do business and to ship cargo through.

The company’s facilities are located in close proximity, and have easy access, to all major trucking routes. I-676 and I-295 run adjacent to the port, as well as close access to the entrance ramps for the Ben Franklin and Walt Whitman Bridges, connecting to I-95 and I-76.

The Facility ...

The power and size of Camden Yards Steel is reflected in the main building which rises 100 feet into the air, spans almost 250,000 square feet and captures natural light through its 1000 panes of glass. Portions of the floor in the main building are built on 6 feet of concrete, and overhead cranes are used to move up to 60 tons of material from one end of the massive structure to the other. Camden Yards has the ability to unload coils from rail cars directly to the building, reaching weights up to 80,000 pounds. In all, the entire facility at Camden Yards Steel covers almost half a million square feet.
